People & Lifestyle

Erie is a primarily quiet town that's perfect for those seeking an escape from the urban metropolitan cities like Boulder and Denver. Residents tend to be families with children, retirees, the elderly, and those who prefer a quieter, peaceful area.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Erie may be small and charming. However, there are several areas where residents love to be and have good times. The limited shopping areas result in residents traveling a brief drive over to neighboring towns like Thornton or Lafayette. Nonetheless, whether you’re out with some friends or the family, here you’ll find a variety of local shops, down-the-street eateries, and areas to socialize.

The nearest shopping center that residents enjoy visiting is the Larkridge Shopping Center. Only about a 10-minute drive southeast of Erie, here you’ll be able to find some ordinary mall-typical stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sears, and Petsmart; moreover, this area also has sit-down and take-out eateries that’ll accommodate everyone in the family.

Enjoy Latin & Mediterranean cuisines and seafood at Piripi. Visit 24 Carrot Bistro for some seasonal New American cuisine and cocktails in an all-wood and brick, old-school vibe Bistro. At The Old Mine, you’ll find housemade hard cider, craft brews, sandwiches, and pizza in a warm atmosphere inside a historic brick building. Highly-rated Industrial Revolution Brewing Company is a great venue with an old-town atmosphere that offers the best selection of beers in town.

Things to Do
